1. Data controller

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled for the VpsMonitor.Pro website and license purchases. The data controller is:

Varna Web EOOD, Varna, Bulgaria (EU) — VAT BG200616282.
Contact for any privacy request: support@vpsmonitor.pro.

2. What we collect

  • Purchase data: your email, name and billing details, processed by our payment provider Stripe. We store your email, name, plan, license key and validity to deliver and support your license.
  • License validation: when the app validates your license it sends your license key and password to our server. To enforce the limit of two computers per license, the app also sends a randomly generated device identifier and your computer name; we record these and the time of the last check.
  • Device fingerprint (free trial): to provide a free 7-day trial without requiring an account, the app creates a one-way hashed fingerprint of your computer's hardware (for example the Windows machine GUID and motherboard/BIOS identifiers) and sends it to our server to enforce one trial per device. It is not used to identify you personally. A one-time notice is shown in the app on first run. If you optionally provide your email for bonus trial days, it is linked to that device record and used for trial reminders and, with your consent, marketing.
  • Download & email: the email address (and optional name) you enter to receive the download link, and whether you opted in to marketing emails.
  • Newsletter: if you opt in, your email and name are added to our newsletter list (via Brevo) and used only to send occasional product news. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. What we do NOT collect

The desktop app connects to your servers directly over SSH. Your server credentials (SSH, database, email passwords and keys), the IP addresses of your servers, and all monitoring data and history stay on your own computer — they are never sent to us. History is stored locally on your PC in an SQLite database.

4. Payment processing

Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. See Stripe’s privacy policy for how they process card data.

5. Why we process it (legal bases)

  • Performance of a contract — to provide, validate and support your license.
  • Legitimate interests — to prevent abuse (e.g. the device limit) and keep the service secure.
  • Consent — for the newsletter (withdrawable at any time).
  • Legal obligation — to keep invoices/accounting records as required by law.

6. Sharing

We share data only with processors that help us run the service: Stripe (payments/invoicing), Brevo (newsletter, only if you opted in), and our hosting provider. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Retention

We keep license and purchase records for as long as your license is active and as required for accounting/tax purposes; newsletter data until you unsubscribe; device records are pruned automatically when a device has not been seen for 45 days.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent for the newsletter — by emailing support@vpsmonitor.pro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection supervisory authority (in Bulgaria, the Commission for Personal Data Protection).

9. Changes

We may update this Policy; the current version with its “last updated” date is always on this page.
